NCCA Criterium - Boulder

Today's criterium was in Boulder which was local to us so Me and Claire rode across to get our legs warmed up as it was feeling rather fresh this morning! The snow fell last night but the sun was shining today which helped thaw the snow out.

Today's field saw quite  few good riders turn up from High Road and Colavitta so it looked to be an eventful race.  The plan was to work for Carrie if it came down to a bunch sprint which was likely on such a short circuit.  I am still suffering from altitude symptoms so I was already feeling woozy at the start of the race but thankfully my legs were up for some more action today.  We covered any potential breaks and tried our hand at getting a break going but nothing was getting away today so we started to prepare for the sprint.  Kate started us off with Claire taking us into the final few laps then High road attacked and I was hot on her wheels with Carrie behind me so I took the final  part of the lap to lead Carrie out for the sprint.  Carrie came by me with about 150 metres to go but was piped to the line by Colavitta.   Carrie was 2nd,  High road 3rd and me in 4th place.    Good solid team work today by the girls.

We leave on Wednesday for the Tucson 3 days stage race in Arizona.
