17th November
I
spent last week in Cornwall with Jez. We decided to head
to the West Country for some nice sea air and some different
riding scenery. it was my first proper week back on
the bike after a good rest off my bike and I was looking forward
to riding again.
Our
accommodation was breathtaking! it sat just 5 steps away from
the cliff edge called "Glebe Cliff" just 1 mile from Tintagel.
We
explored some of the places I've not been back to
since I was 10 years old. It was good to see nothing much
has changed as it is still as beautiful as ever. We
did some really nice coastal rides and got lost quite a bit
which was fun! Some of the climbs we did where 30% and boy
did we feel it especially as I took the wrong cassette with me,
so I was on a 21" not a 25". Needless to say I found
it tough going after a few hours. It was a good excuse to
stop off in Padstow and eat some very scrumptious cakes! to get
us back home of course!
This weekend we are going to Dorset to
house sit and get some country rides in. This time I have
my 25" gear ready as Lyme Regis hill is a tough one along with
the many others in the area.
Happy riding!
